Food matching note: The wine can be enjoyed with a broad variety of dishes from delicately flavoured fish dishes through to chicken and pork.
History: A decade ago, brothers Alain and Jean-Louis Chavy split their family estate (Domaine Gérard Chavy) down the middle, with each brother receiving 6.5 hectares of prime Puligny-Montrachet vineyard. Alain has proved himself a very talented winemaker, producing elegant and very stylish Puligny-Montrachets in a cellar beneath his property in the centre of the village of Puligny.
Tasting Note: The Puligny from Alain Chavy is bursting with ripe tropical fruit characters, balanced by a concentrated limey acidity and lick of spicy oak.
